9 months

I'm a little behind on some posts because our computer was on the fritz so I have some catching up to do the next few days....

On the 12th of this month our little man turned 9 months old! And he is one crazy ball of energy!

I don't have stats yet because his 9 month check isn't for another week or so but he is a big boy and lately has felt so heavy to me so I know he's growing. Updated stats after our doctor's appointment showed that he weighs 21 lbs 7 oz which is about 75% percentile and 30 inches long which is 95% percentile.

He eats pretty much everything now and is pretty uninterested in formula. He eats at all 3 meals whatever we are having or some variation of it, and then has a bottle before morning nap, afternoon nap, bedtime, and first thing in the morning.

He continues to be a good sleeper although has started showing signs of fighting falling to sleep - little stinker :) He takes a nap in the morning between 9:00 and 10:00am for a few hours, another one in the afternoon between 2:00 and 2:30pm for a few hours, and goes to bed for the night between 8:00 and 8:30pm and sleeps through the night until 6:30am or so the next morning.

He is wearing mostly 12 month clothes and he is a busy busy boy. He literally does not sit still. He always wants to be climbing something, throwing something, or getting into things he's not suppose to! We have our hands full with this little mover and shaker and are going to have to find some new safety things that we never had to worry about with Lily.

Within the past month we put our baby gates up because this man loves the stairs! We can definitely not put him on a bed without sitting by him, holding onto him, or keeping a close close eye on him because he likes to hang over the side! He pulls himself up in his crib, on chairs, the couch, a table, or anything on the ground he will give it a try :) He likes to walk while holding our hands and is starting to use one of those push walker toys to walk behind. New words for him this month are mama! and Lily :) He has also started repeating sounds. Still no teeth for this little man but you can definitely feel the bottom two poking through some days. He loves going to the pool - he just splashes away, gets water in his face, and loves every minute of it! He loves playing with the water table and crawling around on the deck outside. He's really started playing with his tractor and car toys and started making "vroom vroom" sounds :)

This little boy is all boy and is beginning to show me the differences between boys and girls already! He is so much fun and definitely keeps us on our toes. It's such a joy to watch him and Lily interact more and actually play together - he loves his big sis! He is the definition of a mama's boy but really does just love attention from anyone that will give him some. His smile goes from ear to ear and lights up his whole face. He is one special boy that has brought lots of fun and laughter to our home and we couldn't love him anymore!
